Drake - For All The Dogs Mini-Review
This is the 8th Studio Album from Toronto superstar Drake.
i’m going to keep this one short since I’m only 2 listens in and I can’t be arsed listening to it any more.
Drake has delivered a worse album that Certified Lover Boy. The album is somehow more tracks than CLB, it has way more bloat and filler and way less lyrical substance than even that record had. The R&B tracks really don’t hit and even though most of the tracks on the front end are hitting I’m just so disappointed that this guy can’t make music with any sort of lyrical content at all. He has so much talent as shown in 8am in Charlotte but almost everything is about women and isn’t done in an interesting or funny way. It’s beyond repetitive and he’s been rapping and singing in the exact same way about the exact same stuff for 3 or 4 albums in a row now. The guy is 37, we get it mate. Again, some of the songs are still quality but I’m so bored of this version of Drake now. Please give me Her Loss 2 at this point, that album was full of bangers but this just wasn’t it.
I’m Feeling a Strong 4.
