Meek Mill - Expensive Pain + Lil Wayne + Rich The Kid - Trust Fund Babies REVIEWS
First of all, Sorry for the hiatus. Been very busy and recently a little under the weather. Don’t really want to do massive reviews for these 2 because they’ve been out for well over a week now and I don’t think it makes sense anymore, so i’ll do short reviews for both in the one article and then do a big one for the new Don Toliver.
Meek Mill - Expensive Pain
The best way to summarise this record in short is very inconsistent. There’s a lot of bangers, a couple slower tracks that are still pretty decent but there are also a lot of duds that make me uninterested in listening to the full LP ever again. There’s just a lot of tracks that clearly weren’t invested in a whole lot and were just there to fill the numbers. Meek has released better.
Feeling a Light 6.
Best Tracks: Hate On Me, On My Soul, Sharing Locations, Me (FWM), Northside Southside, We Slide, Tweaking, Love Money, Blue Notes 2
Worst Tracks: Outside, Expensive Pain, Ride For You, Hot, Love Train, Angels, Cold Hearted III, Halo, Flamerz Flow
Lil Wayne + Rich The Kid - Trust Fund Babies
Probably made in a week or 2 at most, first few tracks are absolute bangers but they run out of ideas so fast that it completely loses any sense of interest past the half way point. This tape is realistically just filler for Wayne’s next LP.
Feeling a Strong 5.
Best Tracks: Feelin Like Tunechi, Headlock, Admit It, Shh, Buzzin
Worst Tracks: Trust Fund, Big Boss, Still, Bleedin
