Premier League Predictions 23/24
The Premier League season is a matter of hours away and I’m here to give my full table predictions. Had an absolute stinker last year so we’re here to resurrect the ball knowledge when it comes to the English game. No beating around the bush, let’s do it.
Manchester City
Arsenal
Manchester United
Chelsea
Newcastle
Liverpool
Aston Villa
Tottenham
Brighton
Burnley
Brentford
West Ham
Fulham
Everton
Crystal Palace
Nottingham Forest
Bournemouth
Wolves
Luton
Sheffield United
I think the first 2 picks are completely automatic, with City strengthening and Arsenal adding a couple of essential pieces to their team makes them the only real title contender. I think where United’s season is defined will be the Champions League and the ability to win another trophy, but with the squad we have top 4 should still be pretty comfortable for us. Newcastle won’t return to the top 4 due to the stress of the Champions League schedule but they’ll still have a strong campaign, whereas Mauricio Pochettino will pull off an incredible feat by getting this mess of a Chelsea squad back into the CL. Ange will have a decent first season with Spurs but won’t hit European places and Brighton will miss out due to the European Football tax. Luton and Sheffield United are locks to go down for me simply due to the lack of squad quality and financial power. Wolves have fallen apart and seem to be struggling a bit financially too, and have just lost an amazing manager in Julen Lopetegui and replaced him with a bang average, mid table/relegation contenders manager in Gary O’Neill. For me this season will be the last straw for this current Wolves squad as a Premier League team. Everyone from 17th to around 12th COULD go down but I think the worst 3 situations in the PL are the 3 teams that I see going down. I still can’t wait to see games at Kenilworth Road though, how much fun that’ll be is nearly indescribable.
Watch out for Aston Villa as a darkhorse for top 4, and watch Arsenal closely because they might just run City even closer than they did last year. This should be a really fun Premier League season and I can’t wait for it.
